Always learning something new!
I’ve been listening just over a month and really enjoying this podcast and all its amazing content! I’m not new to points and miles and I thought I already knew a lot but I’ve learned countless new tips and tricks from Katie! She explains everything simply but thoroughly. Bonus— her voice is very soothing and relaxing. Highly recommend if you’re a beginner OR veteran points and miles traveler!
Great Points Podcast for Us Regular People
As the title said, this is a great points and miles podcast for normal people. I listen to several other podcasts, and everyone is going to the Maldives, Amsterdam, Dubai, etc., and they’re all flying in first class single person pods. I will never be able to fly overseas because I can’t afford it and especially not in a first class pod. I want to listen to a podcast that talks about mostly domestic flying and hotels, but at least flying like normal people do. I don’t know how all those other podcasts do it with their constant traveling around the world and they appear not to have a normal job. I work 40 hours a week and will have a modest retirement. I want to save money on travel and this podcast explains things easily and to the point without having to figure out points per mile and just teaches you how to save a money by using credit card points on every day spend AND NOT CARRY A CREDIT CARD BALANCE. Thank you Katie for a great podcast! Katie’s voice is very soothing, and I enjoy listening to her.
Great information!
Because of the Venture X card episode, I learned how I can pay my T-Mobile bill with a credit card, while still keeping my auto-pay discount. Thank you so much!
Great Podcast!
The title of this podcast caught my attention and while I’m not new to the the world of points and miles I found it to be very helpful and informative.
Helpful podcast
This podcast is full of useful information. It provides me with the tools and info that I need to make my points work for me. Thank you very much for this podcast.
Love the detail!
I love the detail Katie gives especially on credit card benefits. Keep the great information coming!
Game changing Tool
Katie’s podcast is game changing for traveling with points. They are simple and short but super beneficial. I am so grateful for this free resource and breakdown so my family can travel more!
Very Informative
I love the short, but super informative style of Katie’s podcast. Her content is organized and straight forward and she always gives “action items” at the end to help review everything.
Great and informative podcast
You are doing an awesome job Katie! I get so excited when you have a new episode because I know I’m gonna to hear so many pearls of knowledge. Thank you and keep up the great work.
Best points and miles podcast out there!
Katie is so methodical and so easy to listen to. She gives you such practical next steps and makes it feel achievable and fun. Katie, I look forward to this podcast every week. Please keep it up. It’s the best!!
One of my all time faves
Love the content!!!
Great tips for travel!
I love discovering the extra benefits of travel credit cards. I have utilized many of the tips Katie shares. Recently got the venture X card which has made the time spent at the airport much more enjoyable by utilizing lounges. We are going for the SW companion pass for the first time, following Katie’s guide. Very excited for many more travels to come.
Practical Information for family travel
As a busy mom that mainly travels domestically with my family of 5, I love the practical and useful information. This is the first time I’ve ever left a podcast review. Katie does such a great job explaining things in a concise and easy to understand way. A lot of the information in this space seems focused on business class international travel for individuals and couples. I was struggling to find something focused on domestic economy travel for 5 people and this has been very useful.
This is what I've been looking for!
Points for Normal People is exactly what I need to learn the points game. Other podcasts are great for extravagant first class travel, but I have a large family that just wants a nice vacation per year. We also are a typical sports family and need hotels for the summer season. Katie understands that everyone's needs are different and goes more by the "you do you" mentality. I look forward to the podcasts!
Well organized, easy to listen to
Thank you Katie for this well organized and relaxing podcast. I look forward to podcasts as they come out - informative and yet not dry. I appreciate your perspective.
Keep it going!
I have a family of 5 and I love this podcast. I recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Katie is the best!
Seriously always on the edge of my seat waiting for the next episode. Katie is pure genius when it comes to maximizing points and miles and travel benefits and is also totally down to earth and practical. I love the way her brain works and I learn new tricks from every episode even if I think I already have a good handle on the topic. Thank you so much, Katie!
Looking forward to each new episode
I'm so happy that I came upon Katie's podcasts. I've been doing this hobby a couple years but still have a lot to learn and I look forward to each new episode! I've found Katie's podcast to be fast and easy to listen to and they seem to be geared exactly for my style :) Thanks Katie, I've told many friends about this!
Must listen for optimizing travel spend advice
I listen to a number of travel/travel hacking podcasts and honestly love them all. Specifically I listen to the travel moms squad podcast, and the frequent miler and this podcast. What I like most about this podcast is that I am not someone who wants to use a ton of miles on business class fares because I don’t plan to go super hard on credit card applications, etc. I’d rather take a slower pace and pay for the vacations as they come up. I’m also a family of five so honestly, I want to maximize the points that I have on being able to travel in general vs. business or first class accommodations or flights. I also like how Katie doesn’t make you feel bad about not always getting the best CPP for your points. Obviously we want to maximize the value of our points, but it’s not always possible and everyone has different goals i.e. i’d rather pay for my excursions with points and save the cash vs. the opinion of “oh you’re not getting two CPP. This is a waste.” I also really love that this podcast offers the three-year plan because I also don’t think the other podcasts at least from my listening or perspective have laid out something as clear. Please keep recording episodes because I love this show and guidance!
Wow!
Just what I was looking for! After dabbling in many podcasts, FB forums, instagram posts, etc, and getting lots of good information, I was still feeling unclear. Then I stumbled upon this podcast. This is the best, most comprehensive primer on getting started in the credit card and points and miles space, and beyond! Make this your first stop and you’ll be off and flying before you know it! Thank you Katy for such a generous offering.
The BEST podcast for points and miles newbies
This is the first travel hacking podcast I listened to and it provided such useful, informative information it convinced me to go all in on points and miles. Now, 6 months after finding this podcast, we have almost half a million Chase URs and have booked our first hotel redemption in Hawaii. Katie takes the time to thoroughly explain things for those who are entirely new to this hobby. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in getting into points and miles - and I have!
Thank you!
This podcast is full of information that is presented so clearly. I have been travel hacking for 3 yrs and still learn a lot from Katie’s podcast. It’s not just for beginners! Thank you Katie
Clear, well-informed
I’m not new to these concepts but this has become my go-to podcast to send interested friends to. Everything is laid out so clearly, with all details explained so no one gets themselves in a pickle. Also I love Katie’s calm voice! Thank you for doing this!
