Life changing
Katie does all the hard work to make our lives easier! Not to sound dramatic- but her tips are LIFE CHANGING. Definitely give this show a listen if you are interested in learning how to travel on credit card points. You won’t regret it!
The only points podcast that makes sense when you have a family
I am so happy to have found Katie’s Travel Tricks. With a family of young kids, I’m not looking for ways to maximize point redemption value to fly international business. Katie explains things in an easy way where I can now take multiple trips a year with very little expense AND not feel guilty with the way I want to spend my points. Yes, some of the older content is now outdated due to a flurry of changes in 2025 but they still have a lot of useful tidbits. And no matter where you’re getting your information, it’s good practice to always double check before blindly following.
Intentional and smart!
This podcast is my favorite for the way the Katie breaks down the content. While I really wish she would produce more content (selfishly, lol, I would listen to her daily), I appreciate how intentional she is. Also! She is anti-FOMO so you never feel like she is pushing you to get certain cards like some other podcasts.
Thank you!
Katie keeps it simple and understandable for those of us who just want to travel with our families without a complex strategy or high business spend. Thank you!
Best family point podcast
Katie has provided so much helpful point content for my family to travel for less expensive. Grateful for all the work she does for this podcast!
Wealth of Knowledge
I’ve learned so much from this podcast and have shared it with many people who are interested in learning more. She has a clear, approachable way of explaining information that can sometimes feel difficult or overwhelming.
So helpful
This is my favorite points and miles podcast (and I listen to several!) The information is presented in such a clear way, that makes it easy to which cards and opportunities would work for your family and which won’t. There’s definitely FOMO in this hobby but you don’t get that here- just practical advice esp for families.
Such a well done podcast
This podcast is awesome. The information is clear, accessible, and informative. Katie lays things out step by step in a way that helps you understand and begin planning nearly free trips for your people. You’d pay $600 for this same info if you signed up for an online class. Love this show. 5 stars for sure!
Truly Points For Normal People
I’ve been following Katie on IG for about a year. I listen to several different points podcasts but this one truly feels like it is for “normal people.” Short and easy to follow tips for us that are t influencers.
Honest and helpful!
Katie makes traveling on points and miles attainable for normal people. Very thoughtful in her presentation, she dives deep without overwhelming listeners. She’s organized and makes it all seem manageable.
Easy and Digestible
Much like my meals, I need them easy and not make my tum tum upset. That, but in a podcast. The amount of knowledge I’ve taken from Katie’s podcast AND blog is immeasurable and I still can’t believe she gives away knowledge including an entire course (!!!!) for FREE. AND she cares about how humans are treated around the globe?! Sometimes I like to unfollow just so I can follow again harder. Can’t thank her enough!
Great teacher
Love this podcast and all I learn from it. Katie has a great way of teaching and you’ll learn so much about traveling with points.
Life Changing
Learning how to navigate points has been fun, easy, and exciting! I’m so thankful to Katie for helping me realize my travel goals! I can honestly say I wouldn’t be able to travel if it wasn’t for her.
Valuable credit card points information
I‘ve learned so much from Katie. Her explanations of everything in regards to credit card points are always helpful, detailed and accurate. Wholeheartedly recommend this podcast! 💙
Great travel tricks
Katie does a great job in breaking down complex topics into simple, easy to follow steps. I listen to several travel podcasts but I think I get the most out of hers.
Best points podcast
I’ve been listening for a year to Katie. She is so good at breaking down information simply. The biggest problem with the podcast is there are only three seasons (kind of joking). I’ve started listening to all of season one again and I’m so glad I decided to. There are a ton of details that I missed the first time through.
Amazing!
I love how Katie can explain things so clearly. I have learned so much!
Life-changing
I am not kidding when I say that Katie’s advice has been life changing. My friends and family know I’ve taken on this hobby— which was criticized at first— and slowly turned into: “How are you doing this?? Show me your ways!!” Then I send them this podcast! We’ve been to Texas, Florida, Cancun and Vegas all in the past year. And in the next 3 months we have trips planned to California and Washington State. Plus taking advantage of local Hyatts for date weekends and gifting free nights to people. Travel should not just be for the wealthy. Through this podcast and Katie’s advice, our view of and access to the world around us has expanded more than I thought possible from diligently pursuing this hobby!!! Many thanks!!
The best
The best advise for newbies and regular travelers. I appreciate your content.
Love this Podcast!
Love Katie’s Podcast! So helpful for beginners. I just got my first card and I’m on my way to travel with points. Will you be adding new podcast episodes in the future?! I hope so! Thank you so much for all the helpful information :)
Thoroughly researched and accessible
This is my favorite points podcast. I especially appreciate how each episode is carefully and thoroughly researched. I also love that it is focused on family travel and economy flights!
My Favorite Points Podcast—Hands Down!
I used to hate sitting in traffic—but now, I actually look forward to it just so I can listen to this podcast. Over the past year, I’ve listened to so many points and travel podcasts, but this one stands out by far. The way you explain how everything works—especially the Hyatt system—is incredibly clear and approachable. You just get it. What I appreciate most is that you’re not holding back the good stuff. Unlike others who tease the info unless you buy a course, you share real sweet spots and strategies freely. Thank you so much for creating such valuable content. I can’t wait to hear more, especially on international travel!
Great Info
Katie is great at breaking the points game down for truly normal people. This podcast has helped me a ton. Thank you!
Incorrect and Outdated Information
I want to love this show. And I appreciate that it’s free, and lots of people spent time to make it, which is why I’m still giving it 4/5 stars. But when so many things in each episode are no longer relevant the show becomes useless. Capital One: lounge access has changed, you can no longer “travel erase” your $300 credit. And that’s just to start. I got the Venture X based on several of these shows and so much is just wrong. Perhaps that’s why other travel blogs don’t create static episodes about perks but rather only have written pieces. Also, please look up how to pronounce Qatar. It’s not “cutter” like gutter.
